He’s clearly got a skill for getting people to send him money for very little effort. He’s got begging down to a fine art.

And it was demonstrated for all to see in his early days here. A bit of context, he had started three threads for that survey idea that he said costed him $400. He made no qualms about assuming the posters here would/should reimburse him and even provided PayPal info on the thread. Those threads were removed to "Admin" and left for Simon to decide since it broke a rule about asking for money. So, Lloyd had a supporter open a new thread asking the same thing, and he joins in complaining that he is not allowed to fund here. Link for the thread:

The way I see it, the survey adds value to JWN and is a valuable resource to its members, but I am forced to pay for it out of my own pocket and am not allowed to ask for any help in financing it.

He immediately labels his survey as some sort of public service to the forum and not only complains about paying for it but also references his removed threads and thinks he should be able to crowdfund through this site.

I've had to pay out of my own pocket to get the survey up and running. Both the forum and forum members benefit from the survey and from seeing the results, and yet apparently I am not allowed to ask for help in funding it?
It may sound picky, but I don't see why I should continue to post the results, thereby allowing the forum to get the benefit of the results for free, when I am not allowed to receive any help with the funding? And over such a relatively small amount of $400... it's a shame.

Pro-tip - if you say "this may sound picky, but...", it means it is. He really feels he is doing a public service and actually wants to withhold the results until he gets what he wants and is reimbursed $400. And he's even spiteful towards the forum, opining that we shouldn't "benefit" from the survey results if we haven't contributed. Further proof he doesn't do anything for free and he needs to be compensated in full. It explains how he's able to continue this grift as he manipulates people into thinking this "for-profit" enterprise of his is providing a public service.

This is why he says things last week about how he'd leave. He creates the illusion that this is all done out of the goodness of his heart and the donations barely compensate him for the basic expenses. When people see that the exJW community is about to lose such a great philanthropist, you have what happened last week with the Patron spike.

Maybe saying, "As a father, my work can be a major distraction..." would bring on even more questions about whether or not he is divorced. Or, some newbie might think of being a "father" as being a priest

That's what adjectives are for. For example, "As a devoted single father of two young girls, my work can be a major distraction". After all, "single" is something he described himself as when he got caught going to the dating event. He can take the husband part out without destroying the sense he was trying to convey. But it seemed he'd rather dispense with the entire sentence altogether.

I don't, but I compared his current wording against an archive from 2021. The passage you are referring to is unchanged. But there are a couple changes I noticed - removal of any mention of the TTATT documentary. Here's the 2021 version:

I understand about removing the "husband" part, but shouldn't the "father" part still be relevant? He also removed reference to it being a "distraction". I reckon it shows subconsciously the true extent of how disconnected he really is from his children's lives now that he lives over an hour away. All the pics he posts of his children are just propaganda gleaned from the few hours he does see them.

You have to wonder why he consciously removed that entire passage.

I just want this whole "dating a sex worker in Thailand" bullshit to be exposed. He's lying and it's all there. He's also basing his claim of defamation on what he deems as your lies. Have someone do pre-show prep with clips of the more outrageous and funny portions of the livestream ready. He pushed aside the question of sex workers in Thailand and immediately went to his "2-3 months over 3-4 years", providing no clarity other than he did see them. Then pivot to the 3 February FB post 3b and 3c where he specifically says he met sex workers (plural) in Thailand, all of them were in their 20s, and the girl on pic is NOT a SW - making a total of at least three "women" he has seen in Thailand and has NOT paid for sex. It's simply ridiculous he had contact with 3 SWs in Thailand, one of whom he claimed to date romantically, and paid not one of them for sex. After that, the Andrew Gold interview where he denies he paid SWs in Thailand, only that he dated one and his only admission to SWs was in Croatia and "other countries". There are also several tweets like the one last week where he admitted to paying for dinner with the SW he dated, nothing else.

Also helpful if you want to fund for The Exodus Road, have a watermark on the livestream that specially states all superchats will be donated to them. You might also want to tip them off that you are funding for them and explain the situation. They might retweet you for more exposure.

Did the state (Arizona or New Mexico i think) come down on them so they changed the form, or did somebody see what was wrong and fix it?

It was Arizona. A forum poster named fizzywiglet called the relevant Arizona authorities and got some info regarding whether using a pseudonym on incorporation documents was illegal - it was. She posted her results here. As for what prompted AAWA to remove “John Cedars” from these documents, it is best known to them (or “him” I should say). JLE was already out as president after starting fights and then playing the victim. He wasn’t long for that work anyway as donations and support had dried up and it was clear he wasn’t getting anything from AAWA other than plane tickets to Tucson.

I’d reckon they saw what was posted on here and when JLE resigned it was a matter of housekeeping to get him off and end that particular controversy.

What's funny is that the best way to give Lloyd "financial counseling" is here on this forum

And why shouldn’t he take it, it’s been sound advice for years. I was one of the few who thought it was illegal to sign incorporating documents at AAWA as “John Cedars”. When Dick Kelly cuts him a cheque, will it be to James Lloyd Evans or John Cedars? Then he resigns and AAWA pulls a 180 and issues a statement that all officers of the company must be listed under their full legal names. Uhm, you’re welcome?

We also told him here the lawsuit was a horrible idea and a Croatian municipal court is not going to serve foreign nationals for the crime of making commentary on his livestream and other public statements. But we were “cedars-bashers” so what did we know.

Everyone here was of the opinion that he stop stirring the pot and go into further details as to how he dated a hooker in Thailand. Just last week he was telling a cockatiel that the only money he spent on his “date” was buying her dinner.

What a dolt.

Even if he “shut down” last week, the grift is never really over. He keeps his channel up, his Patreon open for the remaining boneheads willing to pay him and probably looks to hand over his website and YT channel over to someone as an unpaid host. He has attempted this before when he handed over JWSurvey to Covert Fade and O’Donnell. He still listed himself as “Senior Editor” when he really didn’t do much.

Lloyd Evans is like herpes. Even when you thought you had him under control he comes right on back to just say “hey”.

Disgusting that he received $40,000 last year just on SUPERCHATS alone!

$40,183 is for the entirety of the JC/LE channel since it was started in 2012. Look directly to the right of that stat and you’ll see it’s for 1585 videos, which accounts for all of his videos ever since he launched the channel.

Median yearly wage in Croatia is €16K. This is a huge reason why he’s never really considered moving back to the UK as well as obtaining Croatian citizenship. He doesn’t plan on leaving. Those superchats alone account for two years of paying the bills. What he isn’t telling you is he has a high yield retirement/new home savings account that probably has a few hundred thousand in it. It’s currently unavailable to him without taking a penalty. What he’s whining about is his current monthly income which is not keeping up with the quality of life he is used to.

He also doesn’t have enough to take any holidays outside Croatia which is where he met a lot of his hookers. Probably is getting sick of seeing the same Zagreb ones as they are becoming too familiar for him.

Nowhere in Lett’s rather patronizing, condescending comments is a single figure cited regarding the projected amounts of income and expenditure, and the shortfall between the two. Everything is left to the imagination (or, more accurately, gullibility) of the viewer.

So where are the numbers, Lloyd? Are you going to show the numbers and stand by your assertion in this article or are you no longer standing by it?

Interesting he uses the word "gullibility".

He goes on:

If Watchtower is low on funds, which I am thrilled to hear confirmation of straight from the horse’s mouth (in more than one sense), it is NOT the fault of any misunderstanding on the part of ordinary Witnesses. Per his own rationalisation, he's not treating any of his donors as adults, thinks they are gullible, and is himself guilty of an "ongoing financial information blackout".
